Our team took a different perspective on the idea. Video games are a multi-billion dollar industry that has not only been thriving, but progressing as fast as technology will allow. Thus, room for advancement grows daily. But truth be told, no quality gaming system is worth a dime if the quality of the actual games are not up to serious gamers standards, which are rather high considering the $60 it takes to purchase a newly released game. We discovered a way to get involved in the industry as avid gamers.

6 Vote(s)

Does your Xbox 360 freeze and get louder as it ages only to cost you grief over hard work unsaved and live sessions disrupted? Is it already showing signs of failure even though you are diligent with it? If you're starting to wonder how long until you will have to spend another $300 on a new console. Don't, because I am happy to say there is a proven solution.Fix! The XBOX 360 Red Ring of DEATH!The issue was surfaced since the Xbox360 console launch back to 2005. The symptom of failure is indicated by three red flashing lights in front of the console panel. Microsoft has not disclosed the actual failure rate, but it is believed that the failure rate has reached as high as 33% based on retailers' feedback. Actual root causes were not announced but some technical experts said it could be due to overheat or actual hardware lockup failure. Nonetheless, necessary actions have been in place to rectify this issue

8 Vote(s)

"Particularly from an investment perspective," says Wall Street clever clogs Roger Ehrenberg. This doesn't mean the Xbox has been a disaster for gamers - far from it (think Halo, Live) - but Ehrenberg makes a strong case that the Xbox has failed investors by hemorrhaging Microsoft's Home & Electronics profits. He also believes that when a console fails in Japan, as the 360 appears to have done, it cannot succeed in the world market (Caveat: NEC's PC Engine did very well in Japan, and Japan alone).rnrnFrom the article: "Microsoft needs to take a long, hard look at its gaming strategy - and, in fact, its entire H&E strategy. At what point, regardless of its virtually endless financial resources, does it say 'enough is enough.'

7 Vote(s)

Picture of a rather extreme case mod for the original Gameboy. On display somewhere or other, the card reads:"GAME BOY DAMAGED IN GULF WARThis GameBoy was damaged when barracks were bombed during the 1990-1991 Gulf War"And in a testament to the build quality of everyone's favourite handheld gray brick of yesteryear, apparently it can still play Tetris.

4 Vote(s)
